Sweet And Shiny

"Sweet And Shiny"
9" x 12" still life
oil on canvas board
$150 unframed
#20007415

I painted this in my last class with Ingrid Christensen. I had been away and missed the previous 3 classes. I did not have anything to set up as a still life so I painted the back view of another student's still life set up. I loved how the red apple almost mimicked the vase shape from my vantage point. I miss taking the weekly class but once again would miss to many with other commitments. If you are an artist and want to learn, check out her blog by clicking on her name above. She is an amazing painter and a very kind instructor.

Winter Blues

"Winter Blues"
9" x 12" Oil on board
$150 unframed
#20001415

This was painted in between caring for my Mom in Kelowna. A bouquet she was given had these flowers just not in these colours. As I couldn't take paints in my carry on luggage, Shannon picked up paints that I had ordered at Opus Kelowna. It was a real treat to play with new fresh paints and brushes!.Painted unconventional 4 flowers instead of the usual odd number, it just felt right for this painting.
