Leighton Christmas Sale Invite

3 Is Not A Crowd
11" x 14" Oil on canvas
#20129017
Photo reference by Mya Helena

This painting (and a wide variety) of 14 others are going in the Leighton Art Centre Annual "Christmas in the Country Art Sale". There will be over a thousand pieces of fine craft and unframed artworks by local artists. Each artist can put up to 15 pieces of unframed art in a named bin. The prices reflect unframed work. It is worth the drive to see the spectacular views, free admission and a crazy amount of original art. Two weekends of Christmas Cheer - Nov 4 & 5 and 11 & 12.

12 Paintings at Hyde Mountain Golf Course, Sicamous B.C.

I happily have 12 paintings at Hyde Mountain Golf Course in Sicamous, B.C. Shannon (my sister) helped me hang them all and we were free to put them up where we wanted. There is a charity golf tournament https://www.facebook.com/WeberFransonAnnualGolfClassic  there this weekend and the golf course was a buzz with upbeat activity, it sure looked like it was going to be fun.

Above is a picture Shannon took of 5 of my paintings. If you get a chance to stop by, they have a new menu and chef and everyone is raving about their meal! If you do not golf or have time for a great meal, it is worth the while to drive up and check out the view from the parking lot and deck!

Sicamous, B.C. Annual Art Walk

"Sue's Hydrangea"
16" x 20" Oil on panel

These two paintings are in the Eagle Valley Manor from April until September. If you are in Sicamous, B.C. most of the local businesses have maps with a list of all the art all around town that you can go enjoy at your leisure. It will be fun to do a "walk about" and check out the businesses and find your favorite paintings! It is fun to map read and find the treasure, something free to do as a family on a nonbeach day.

"Red Delight"
Oil on board 14" x 11
This is a picture of the still life set up and my finished painting. I really enjoyed this one with all the different reds as well as lots of colour mingling in the background. The vase was a challenge.
