"Fireworks"

"Fireworks"
16" x 16"
Pouring Medium and Acrylic on Gallery Cradle Board
$175
20021115

This painting reminds me of the July 1 Canada Day fireworks celebration in Sicamous B.C. The fireworks are set off from a barge just outside the public beach. There are as many people in boats as in the park! One of my favourite fireworks is when they burst into small balls and fly in every direction until they fizzle out. The holes or white spots as they appear in this photo is actually the unpainted board showing through. The 1 1/4" wood sides are unpainted and framing is not required.

The great thing about abstract art is you can hang it what ever way suits you and your imagination. Hanging it this way makes it look entirely different. I have signed it on the back.

Fountain Fun

"Fountain Fun"
16" x 20" unframed
Pouring Medium with acrylic paint
$175 unframed
20016114

This high energy painting was done with a pouring medium and acrylic paint. I loved everything about it - colours, movement and design. Pouring medium almost has a life of it's own and everything makes it move and settle, including the weight of the paint, the air moving or nudging the table. It really reminded me of being a kid and holding your finger down on the water fountain!
